1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use TravelPin, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. If you sign in, we may collect your Apple sign-in information and authentication identifiers through Firebase Authentication.
• Content you create or save. We may store places, pins, trips, notes, categories, images, source links, and other content you choose to save in the app.
• Content you explicitly share into TravelPin. When you use the iOS share sheet, the share extension may process shared links, text, captions, metadata, and other content you send to TravelPin from apps such as Instagram or TikTok.
• Location information. If you allow location access, TravelPin may access your device location to show nearby saved places and support map-based discovery features.
• Subscription and purchase information. We use RevenueCat and Apple's in-app purchase systems to manage subscription status, eligibility, purchase events, renewals, and restorations.
• Usage and analytics information. We use Firebase services, including analytics-related services, to understand app performance and feature usage.
• AI feature inputs and outputs. If you use AI-powered features, we may send the text, trip preferences, saved place data, captions, location details, or similar inputs needed to generate itineraries or extract place information through OpenRouter and OpenAI-compatible providers.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• create and manage your account;
• save, organize, and display your pins, trips, and travel content;
• process content you intentionally share into the app;
• provide map, geocoding, and nearby discovery features;
• operate subscription and paywall features;
• generate AI itineraries and AI-assisted place extraction when you request those features;
• improve app reliability, performance, and product experience; and
• protect the app, users, and our services from misuse.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate TravelPin, including:

• Google Firebase for authentication, cloud database, file storage, and analytics-related services;
• RevenueCat for subscription management and purchase status;
• Apple for Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and platform services;
• OpenRouter and OpenAI-compatible providers for AI-powered trip planning and location extraction features when you use those features; and
• Map and geocoding services used to resolve or display locations.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our rights, or to protect users, the app, or the public.

4. Location Data

TravelPin requests location access only when needed for location-based features. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. If location access is disabled, some map and nearby discovery features may not function fully.

5. AI Features

If you use AI-powered features, the information necessary to fulfill your request may be sent to third-party AI providers. This can include shared captions, place names, approximate coordinates, travel preferences, or saved place details relevant to itinerary generation or place extraction.

6. Data Storage and Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the app, maintain your account, support saved content and subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• You can choose whether to sign in and whether to share content into TravelPin.
• You can manage location permissions in iOS Settings.
• You can manage subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
• You can request deletion of your account or stored data by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy

TravelPin is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate.

11. Third-Party Services

TravelPin may link to or interact with third-party services such as Apple, Instagram, TikTok, Firebase, RevenueCat, and AI providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
